Thousands of homes and businesses in the North East will have access to superfast broadband when BT expands the project to 12 additional communities.
The places to benefit are:
- Seaton Delaval
- Barnard Castle
The move is expected to boost the local economy by attracting businesses. Upgrades will be completed by the end of Spring 2014. This will take the total number of premises with access to fibre broadband in the North East to more than 735,000. More than 530,000 already have access.
