Two firms have pulled out of the bidding for a multi-million pound bridge in Sunderland.
Ferrovial and Balfour Beatty say they're no longer competing to build the new Wear bridge.
The bridge would connect the A1231 Wessington Way with European Way in Pallion.
Project managers say the bridge will help reduce traffic and congestion, which could in turn generate investment and jobs.
Firms Graham and Vinci are still in the running. Construction is due to start this summer
