Man dies after four-vehicle crash in County Durham

A man has died at a hospital in Newcastle four days after he was involved in a four-vehicle collision in County Durham.

The 45-year-old man from Stanley was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary on Saturday afternoon after his car, a Suzuki Swift, was involved in the crash on the A693 at Beamish.

Durham Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the crash near the entrance to the Topgun Paintball Centre to get in contact with them.
