Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death on North Tyneside.
Officers were called to Burn Closes Crescent in Wallsend at around 1:53am on Saturday and found a 25-year-old man in street suffering from a stab wound. He was treated by paramedics at the scene but was declared dead at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary shortly afterwards.
It's believed the man had been at a house party at an address on the same road, and had been involved in a fight. Several people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

The incident happened around 9.55pm at Fawdon Metro Station on Wednesday July 5.
