A man who was stabbed to death in Wallsend has been formally identified as Ryan Armstrong.
It's believed the 25-year-old was involved in a fight at a party on Burn Close Crescent at around 1:53am on Saturday. He was taken to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary where he was pronounced dead.
His family have paid the following tribute to him:
"He was a hard working lad who was a lovely man. We are a close family."
The police investigation surrounding his death is ongoing. Seven people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
