Demolition work is expected to start on homes left dangerously close to the edge of a cliff in North Yorkshire after a landslip last month.

Four properties at Knipe Point in Scarborough are affected by the slippage, which is the second in recent years.

Three homes had to be pulled down in 2008.

A report from Scarborough Council in 2009 found the stretch of coastline is sensitive to seasonal groundwater fluctuation.
