Newcastle's adopted warship, HMS Dauntless, has arrived in the region. The seven thousand tonne Type 45 destroyer is the Royal Navy's most technologically advanced vessel. It will be open to visitors on Northumbrian Quay in North Shields over the weekend.

The event will be open to everyone affected by unemployment and will feature jobs from a number of employers as well as advice on training.
