As the showers fade and the temperatures dip the Met Office have replaced today's snow warning with one for ICE as we head into tonight.
The main risk is for untreated roads and footpaths where snow fell today and where scattered showers continue overnight. A widespread frost will develop with temperatures below freezing across most parts of the region.
As High Pressure and settled weather moves south & east, milder & (eventually) more unsettled conditions develop from the south and west.
After a week of temperatures struggling to get much higher than zero, the week ahead provides a slight improvement.
