Heavy pulses of sleet and snow continue across parts of the region. Showers are very slowly easing and breaking up but the Met Office snow warning remains in place until 3pm.
Despite the showers becoming lighter and more scattered for a time, ongoing sleet and snow showers overnight could give another dusting by dawn. The risk of ice continues with a widespread frost.
As High Pressure and settled weather moves south & east, milder & (eventually) more unsettled conditions develop from the south and west.
After a week of temperatures struggling to get much higher than zero, the week ahead provides a slight improvement.
