Driver killed in Northumberland crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash in north Northumberland where the driver of a car was killed.

Around 8.30am this morning (Monday 4 March) a collision involving a Citroen car and a HGV happened on the B6350 between Carham and Wark.

Police, fire and ambulance services attended the scene where the driver of the Citroen was then pronounced dead.

The driver of the HGV was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who was in the area immediately after the crash, is being asked to contact police on 101.
