Teachers, parents and school cooks from across Newcastle have been joining forces to help shape the future of school food in England.
Benfield School in Newcastle has hosted one of seven school food events taking place across the country to help create an action plan for children's diets.
The events follow the publication of a draft national curriculum which for the first time requires all secondary school children to learn about food and cookery.
