Teesside school set for special education renovation

Children with special educational needs will be able to stay close to their homes under plans for a new school on Teesside.

Stockton Borough Council has approved plans to renovate and reopen a school in Norton.

The council say that the new school will save them hundreds of thousands of pounds a year and create 100 jobs.

At the moment some children are sent to far parts of the country for the care they need.
