Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray believes his team have ten games to achieve their season goal of reaching the playoffs.
For most of the season Boro have been in the top six in the Championship table, but recent form has seen them slip to eighth after taking just seven points in from a possible 30. Their latest setback came with a 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield on Tuesday night.
Mowbray insists his side can still make the playoffs despite their recent run. He said: "We're right in amongst that group of teams and feeling a bit low on ourselves. The psychology is to try and spin that on its head and be as positive as we can.
"We've got ten games to go a grab the goal of the season of trying to get out of this league via the playoffs, and we have to not lose sight of that."
He added: "Our responsibility as a team, as a club, as a group of players is to stick together and keep working as hard as we can to try and get to the playoffs first and foremost - over the next ten games - and try and win it."
Middlesbrough travel to bottom club Bristol City on Saturday.
