- Tyne Tees
A brighter day with sunny spells but bitterly cold with a raw northeast wind. Highs of 3C
Wintry showers will develop during the day, moving in from the North Sea.
Accumulations of snow will be variable into Sunday night as the showers develop and align into bands, pushing southwest. 2-5 cm of snow is possible anywhere and as much as 10 cm over east facing slopes by Monday morning.
As High Pressure and settled weather moves south & east, milder & (eventually) more unsettled conditions develop from the south and west.
After a week of temperatures struggling to get much higher than zero, the week ahead provides a slight improvement.
Calm and clear conditions have led to some amazing sunrise and sunset pictures from across our region.
