Woman robbed in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed in Middlesbrough on Thursday 21 March.

The robbery happened on Ormesby Road at around 11 am when a 26-year-old woman was on her way to ASDA when she was approached by a man who pushed her to the ground and stole cash from her handbag.

Police believe that he had followed her from Norfolk Place shops and along Ormesby Road.

The man is:

  • Aged between 30 and 32-years-old
  • White
  • Of slim build
  • Blonde stubble
  • Around 5 feet 7 inches tall
  • Gaunt face
  • Distinctive long, yellow teeth
  • Scruffy appearance
  • He was wearing a black jacket with the hood up and blue ripped jeans
