The Education Secretary has refused to apologise over his damning criticism of East Durham's schools, in his first visit to the region since saying the schools there 'smelled of defeatism'.
Today, Michael Gove went to see a school in Stockton which the Government is investing in but, if teachers elsewhere thought he was about to ease off for a while, they were wrong.
