Hundreds of soldiers based at Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire will have their return from a six month tour of Afghanistan honoured today with the presentation of their operational medals.
The troops were deployed to Task Force Helmand between October 2012 and April 2013. The medals will be presented to them by the Duke of Edinburgh.
