Drug crime 'causes harm and misery to our communities'

Northumbria Police say they are confident Operation Magnet will play a major role in ridding Newcastle of drug crime.

Chief Superintendant Gary Calvert says organised crime of this nature causes harm and misery to our communities.

The investigation which focuses mainly on the outer west of the city at Lemington, West Denton and Westerhope, has seen cash and drugs seized and several arrests made.
