Unemployment has risen again in the North East and the latest figures show joblessness is also still worse in this region than any other part of the country.
16 to 24 year olds are known to be the hardest hit - with one in four understood to be looking for work.
Concerns are also mounting about the numbers of young people on so-called zero hours contracts with no guarantees of regular hours or regular pay.
