Police have named a cyclist who died after a collision with a lorry on the A66 on Tuesday 21 May as 61-year-old Sean Ruff from Cleadon Village near Sunderland.
The incident involved an Argos delivery wagon and happened just after 6pm on the A66 westbound near to the Eaglescliffe slip road.
A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Any witnesses to the incident are being asked to contact the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency 101 number.
