Archbishop of York thanks people for their support

The Archbishop of York was able to speak at a charity campaign function yesterday, making his first public appearance since his operation for prostate cancer.

Dr John Sentamu was in Northern Ireland as a guest speaker at an event in Enniskillen ahead of the G8 summit.

The 63-year-old is still recuperating after undergoing an operation last month. He thanked people for their thoughts and prayers which, he says, have helped him through.
