Hundreds of workers on Teesside will lose their jobs this week after being made redundant from a call centre in Stockton.

Last year it was announced the Churchill insurance call centre on Stockton's riverside would close at the end of this month.

It is part of £100 million of savings its parent company Direct Line is making. It says out of the 530 people based at the site only half have secured new jobs.
