A teenager from Middlesbrough who was stabbed and left for dead while on holiday in Turkey told ITV Tyne Tees he thought he was going to die.
Dwayne Ward, 17, was attacked after kissing a girl in a bar in Marmaris two weeks ago.
He was operated on by surgeons in the resort and is now recovering at home.
Dwayne said: "My mam started reassuring me that I wasn't going to die, and then I started getting better and better and I was thinking; I can get over this and get on with my life."
