Police officers have carried out a fingertip search of the area around which a woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver.
The 64-year-old dog walker was thought to have been crossing the road near Prudhoe Hospital on Saturday evening when she was hit by a car, which did not stop. Her dog also died.
