Full report: 'Thankful' villages remembered

Villages in our region where all the men who served in WWI returned home safely are being officially remembered.

The so-called 'thankful' villages received memorial plaques from two motorcyclists who are travelling the country ahead of the 100th anniversary of WWI next year.

Villages where all the soldiers who fought in WWI returned home safely are being officially commemorated. Two bikers from Wales are travelling the country, visiting all 51 'thankful' villages, including Meldon in Northumberland.
