The jury in the case of a husband and wife accused of stealing thousands of pounds from the woman's 91-year-old Godmother have been sent home for the night after failing to reach a verdict.
It is alleged that Andrew and Lesley Reeve from Hartlepool told the dementia sufferer that her money would pay for a conversion at their home allowing her to move in with them - but instead they spent it on themselves. The couple deny theft.
Rachel Bullock was in court.
