A history of the Battle of Flodden

Exactly 500 years ago, 14,000 men died in one of the bloodiest battles in Scottish and English history.

The Scottish king, James IV became the last British monarch to be killed on British soil.

The Scots lost around 10,000men, the English 4,000 in just three hours of fierce fighting.
