A man and his three dogs have been rescued after becoming trapped on a sandbank at the Solway Firth in Dumfries and Galloway.
The man, who is believed to be from Newcastle, was cut off by tide as he walked along the coast near Powfoot, at Annan.
The Silloth Lifeboat were called out and rescued the man and two of his dogs. The third dog was found by the Nith Rescue boat off the coast of Powfoot.
