Businesses fear "confusing" Tour de France roadworks could damage trade

When the Tour de France comes to the region next year, it will bring millions of people here - and businesses across North Yorkshire will benefit.

But some of those businesses say roadworks in the Dales are currently hindering their trade - just when they need the cash to make preparations for the event.

North Yorkshire Council says it is to get the roads in the condition they need to be in and also says it has put up signs to prevent an impact on shops.

But some say the signs are confusing tourists and stopping them from spending money.
