An inquest into the death of a solicitor found with stab wounds in Durham City has been opened and adjourned.
Peter Maine was found dead on a path where he had been running close to the Maiden Castle sports complex on Sunday, September 1.
In a brief hearing, the coroner said a post mortem showed Mr Maine died from stab wounds to the chest. The case has been adjourned until November.
