Detectives investigating the death of a solicitor found with stab wounds near the River Wear in Durham have released descriptions of two people they'd like to hear from. The people were in the area near where he was found on the morning of September 1st.
Male, at about 7.50 am, walking towards Shincliffe opposite the Maiden Castle sports centre. Dressed in black combat trousers.
Male/Female jogger, at about 8.15 am running over Maiden Castle bridge with two black medium sized dogs. Wearing long sleeved red top and black shorts.
Peter Maine set off jogging from Old Elvet at about 7.40 on sunday the first of september and was found at around 8 o'clock. No one has yet come forward to say they've seen him in that 20 minutes.
