Are we spending £35,000 on snacks?

A new poll has revealed that North East consumers are spending £35,000 in their lifetime on unhealthy snacks. Crisps have been named the favourite snack.

People in the region are even skipping meals because they've filled up on unhealthy treats, with 31% admitting to doing so at least once a week.

The research by Russell Hobbs also revealed that 22% of people in the North East admit to snacks making up 40% of their daily food intake.
