Full report: Pamela Jackson's former partner sentenced to 18 years

He has been described as cowardly and remorseless. This evening, September 30, Adrian Muir is beginning an 18-year jail term for killing his partner and burying her body in a remote moorland grave.

The 51-year-old was cleared of murder but convicted of manslaughter last week after the jury accepted he had not meant to kill County Durham grandmother, Pamela Jackson.

Gregg Easteal was in court as her family watched Muir being sentenced.
