Cleveland Police have confirmed that a 65-year-old man who sustained serious headinjuries in Chestnut Avenue was walking his dog between Chestnut Avenue and thesea front and back between 9.30pm and 10.10pm on Wednesday 9thOctober.
They are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed his attack to get in touch.
This was a vicious attack which has left the victim with serious head injuries. He is undergoing treatment and we expect he will be in hospital for some time.
