New appeal to find driver after boy dies in hit and run

Police have made a new appeal for help to find a driver who killed a toddler in a hit and run in Darlington. Danny Wake, 3, died on Monday, November 4.

His family had been walking home from the town centre. They had been to collect a Christmas catalogue so he could choose his presents.

A 24-year-old man was arrested at the time but released without charge last night, November 5.

Danny Wake's funeral

The funeral will take place for Danny Wake on November 19. The three year died last Monday when he was hit by a car, police are still trying to trace the driver.
