The Environment Agency has issued a number of flood warnings for parts of the region. The areas affected are Alnmouth, Roker in Sunderland and Berwick-upon-Tweed, where flooding is expected in the early hours of Friday, January 3.
Flooding is expected for properties on Riverside Road, Garden Terrace and at Sawmill Cottage between 3am and 5:30am.
Flooding is expected for properties including the Amusement Arcades and Smugglers Pub between 3.30am and 5:45am.
Flooding is expected at the Chandlery, the Old Lifeboat Station, Pier Road, Longstone View, Bridge End South Bank, Riverside Road, Blakewell Road, Blakewell Gardens, West End, between the Bridges area, Main Street, Berwick Dock and Berwick Lifeboat Station between 3am and 5:45am.
