A dog walker credited with saving a woman's life after her car careered 60 feet down an embankment, and landed on the beach, has said he does not think of himself as a hero.
David Redhead was walking his dogs at Whitley Bay when he saw the drama unfold. He rushed over, dialled 999, broke into the upturned vehicle and held the woman's hand as the water levels rose, until help arrived.
