A man credited with saving a woman's life has said he just did what anyone else would have done. The woman's car had careered 60 feet down an embankment before landing on the beach, as the tide came in.
David Redhead was walking his dogs at Whitley Bay when he saw the drama unfold. Today he told our correspondent Gregg Easteal how he rushed over, called 999, broke into the upturned vehicle and held the woman's hand as the water levels rose.
