Police searching for missing Northumberland woman Janis Hall are issuing leaflets in a bid to trace her. Officers will hand them out to residents in the Simonburn area in an attempt to locate the 65-year-old, who has been missing from her home in Catton since Thursday, December 19.
This follows a report to police from a member of the public that they picked up a woman in their car near Simonburn, at around 5.15pm, on Saturday, December 21, and dropped her off at Hexham railway station. Police have carried out subsequent checks of CCTV at the station.
Mrs Hall is described as being 5ft 4ins tall of medium build, with grey short hair, and wearing glasses. She was also possibly wearing a green fleece coat, black trousers and a black fur Russian-style hat.
Now police are hoping the leaflets may trigger someone's memory. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191, quoting the reference 1124 19/12/13.
