Sunderland fans can dare to dream of a Wembley double after victory in the fifth round of the FA Cup against Southampton. Craig Gardner scored after 49 minutes at the Stadium of Light to put his side through to the quarter finals.
The Stadium of Light was less than half full, with attendance of just over 16,000. Gus Poyet had made nine changes to his side. However, they were hardly tested in the match, which ended 1-0.
Sunderland will discover who they will face in the next round on Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm.
