The 25-year-old initially joined from the Sky Bet League One club for the remainder of the season on transfer deadline day.

Tomlin signed for Peterborough from Rushden and Diamonds in August 2010 after scoring 28 goals in 169 appearances for the Northamptonshire side.

After completing a three-match suspension last weekend, Tomlin is eligible for selection to make his Boro debut in Saturday’s game against Leeds United at the Riverside.
