21-year-old man has leg broken in Newcastle city centre fight

Police investigating an assault in Newcastle city centre have released images of men they need to speak to.

It happened at 3.20am on Sunday 16 February outside the university building at King's Gate on Percy Street.

Two men, both aged 21, were standing talking to each other. They were approached by a man who punched one of them in the face. A scuffle took place where more men approached and assaulted the second 21-year-old, causing him to fall to the ground, breaking his leg.

Police investigating the assaults have released images of a number of men they need to speak to.

Anyone who recognises the men is asked to call Northumbria Police on 101.
