Cleveland Police are appealing for anyone who saw a man in the 11 hours before he was found with his penis cut off by the side of the A66 in Middlesbrough.
The latest update from police said the man, 40, returned home from work at 6pm on Wednesday 12th March. He was found by police in a distressed state with his penis cut off at just before 5am the following morning.
He has been treated at the James Cook University Hospital since then, initially in an induced coma but now fully conscious. Specialist officers have been visiting him to try to piece together how he came by his injuries.
