A man who was found wandering on the A66 with his penis cut off has spoken to police about what happened to him. Police closed the A66 in Middlesbrough on March 13 and searched the area in South Bank.
"Specially trained officers have visited the man on a number of occasions since his admittance to hospital and have spoken to him about his injuries and how he has come about them.
"He is engaging with these officers and is assisting them as he continues to undergo treatment and begin recovery.
"Officers again appeal for anyone who has not yet spoken to police who saw the man between 6pm on Wednesday 12th March and 5am on Thursday 13th March to get in touch on the non-emergency number 101."
