The former Black Cats defender Jody Craddock has been awarded a testimonial match.

He became a fans’ favourite at Sunderland before going on to play for Wolves. A host of ex-players from both teams will play in the clash.

Former Sunderland boss Peter Reid will take charge of the Black Cats’ line-up, while the legendary striking partnership of Niall Quinn and Kevin Phillips will be reunited for the first time in more than ten years.

The game is at 2pm on Monday 5 May at Wolves’ Molineux home. Proceeds from the match will go to Birmingham Children’s Hospital where Jody’s four-year-old son Toby is being treated for leukaemia.
