Sunderland striker's World Cup in doubt after injury

Sunderland's American striker Jozy Altidore was stretchered off just twenty minutes into last night's 2-1 USA victory over Ghana.

He suffered a hamstring injury while chasing a long ball and lay on the pitch in obvious pain for several minutes, before being carried off.

It's not yet clear how serious the injury is and whether Altidore will be able to play again during the World Cup.
