Police in Cyprus believe the death of a five-year-old girl in a local holiday resort was a tragic accident.
The youngster drowned in a swimming pool in Protaras on Monday. She was staying at the Evalena Hotel apartments with her family, who are thought to have links with Darlington and County Durham.
Police launched an investigation, according to reports in the resort, but they will not be taking any further action.
