Police investigating a firearms incident in Newcastle have released some CCTV images.

At around 12.20am on Saturday 12July, police received a report of a firearm being used in Westmorland Road.

Officers believe there may have been a disturbance in the street before a firearm was fired into the ground. No one was injured.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers are releasing CCTV images of a group of men, and a woman, who were in Westmorland Road around the time of the incident and who police want to speak to.
