North East remembers WW1 - A guide to services

Commemorations are being held across the region to mark 100 years since the outbreak of WW1.

Sunderland Minster: 10am - Service led by Bishop of Durham.

Thirsk Market Place: 10am - Open air concert and poetry readings.

Beamish museum - 11am - The Last Post will sound followed by a minute's silence.

Metrocentre, Gateshead - 2pm - Service followed unveiling of poppy chandelier.

Richmond - 9:45pm - March from Town Hall to St. Mary's church for a commemorative service.
