Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP: We need "a conversation" about faith and politics

On Around The House at 10.45pm, Berwick Conservative MP Anne-Marie Trevelyan says it's time for a "big discussion" about the pressures politicians face over their religious views.

It follows Conservative Jacob Rees-Mogg's comments on his opposition to gay marriage and abortion, even in cases of rape or incest.

Paul Brand also talks to the former Lib Dem leader Tim Farron in the programme about the questions that overshadowed his election campaign, on whether he considers gay sex a sin.

Anne-Marie Trevelyan says we should talk more openly about how politicians can balance their faith with the scrutiny of public life.
